As the ancient Nautilus Shell, the symbol for renewal, evolution and growth, the Nautilus Project parnters consortium proposes a university-business collaboration in East Mediterranean basin to expand knowledge, and renew education & training curriculum models, for blue growth and sustainability.

With the contribution of the European Maritime and Fisheries Fund of the European Union

Concept

Nautilus concept of sustainable development in Water Sports Tourism and the development of an innovative training framework for highly-skilled and educated Water Sports Tourism (WST) professionals derives from a basic need and a simple idea:

Water Sports Tourism professionals should have theoretical and practical knowledge of Water Sports and Tourism/Hospitality. Furthermore, since this specific workforce is characterized by circulation due to the seasonality of this job, these professionals should acquire knowledge about their working environment (the SMEs, the regional human, cultural, and natural environment).

To achieve our goals, we will map the educational and training offer in EU, analyse the training and skills needs of our target group, create their occupational profile, design, develop and implement an innovative training program that we will evaluate, validate and certify, so that it will be ready for the Water Sports Tourism market and will be communicated through all consortium’s networks and knowledge alliances to transfer knowledge and disseminate the results of Nautilus project.
